Glenn discovered his passion for playing the drums at age 15 when his father left a set unattended.
Father Larry Farrell drummed in the first local band formed by The Great Jerry Miller of Moby Grape fame (No. 68 on Rolling Stone’s list of the greatest 100 guitarists of all time) and many other Tacoma-area bands.
“I’d put on Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Cream, and Steppenwolf and try to play along with the album,
” Glenn says. Eventually it worked – and it’s no surprise that those bands are among Glenn’s influences.
He also lists Van Halen, The Who, Rush, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
The list of bands Glenn has played in spans 20 years and is too long to list here. A few of them include Knucklehead, Smoke Like Daddy (original rock), Violation (aka Bitchin Mamma, Almost Human, Drunken Debauchery, the Riptones….you get the idea).
When he’s not thumping out tunes, Glenn can be found restoring – or modifying — old vehicles,
except when it’s time to host the annual Gemini party.
